I crafted the visual identity and branding for Tidal Coffee, a female-owned speciality coffee shop built around surf culture, community, and connection. Created as a space that champions women in surfing within a traditionally male-dominated industry, the brand reflects both empowerment and inclusivity without losing its sense of warmth and authenticity.

The identity centres around a bespoke typeface inspired by the natural rhythm and movement of ocean waves, designed to feel fluid, confident, and distinctive. This custom lettering became the foundation of the brand, alongside a logo mark and lockup where the letterforms are arranged to mirror the shape and motion of a wave itself, reinforcing the concept visually and emotionally.

Drawing from the soft energy of early morning surf sessions, the colour palette was inspired by coastal sunrises and sand, bringing warmth, and calm to the brand. The design extended beyond the visual identity into packaging and apparel, creating a cohesive and immersive brand world that feels both elevated and community-led. Every touchpoint was designed to reflect Tidal’s mission: making waves both literally and culturally by creating a welcoming space for women and all those connected by coffee, creativity, and surf.
